Audi Parts and Accessories Limited Warranty
The following terms of warranty apply to all new or factory-remanufactured Genuine Parts and Accessories sold by Authorized Audi Dealers in the United States, including its territories.
Limited Warranty For New And Factory-Remanufactured Parts And Accessories, issued by Audi of America, Inc., an operating unit of Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi).
Audi warrants that every new and factory-remanufactured part and accessory, (excluding tires and batteries) which is imported or distributed by Audi and sold as a new or factory-remanufactured part or accessory to a retail client or authorized dealer, will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for the duration of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty (NVLW) or 1 year/12,000 miles, as specified and detailed in the Section Warranty Coverage and Duration.
If a part or accessory, found to be defective, was installed by an authorized Audi dealer and the vehicle is brought during the warranty period to the workshop of an authorized Audi dealer, the dealer will, without charge, either repair or replace it with a new or factory-remanufactured part or accessory.
This warranty is transferable to subsequent owners free of charge.
Warranty Coverage and Duration
1. Audi Genuine Parts
A. Covered for Duration of New Vehicle Limited Warranty:
- Part installed as a warranty replacement part during the NVLW period.
Note: Warranty duration is remainder of NVLW period or 1year/12,000 miles, whichever is greater.
B. Covered for 1 year/12,000 miles, whichever occurs first:
- Part installed after the NVLW is ended.
- Part installed as a warranty replacement during the NVLW period, but the remainder of the NVLW is less than 1 year/12,000 miles.
- Over-the-Counter sale - labor required to remove the defective part and to install a new or remanufactured part is not reimbursable.
2. Audi Genuine Accessories
A. Covered for Duration of New Vehicle Limited Warranty:
- Part installed as a warranty replacement part during the NVLW period.
Note: Warranty duration is remainder of NVLW period or 1year/12,000 miles, whichever is greater.
Electrical parts and electronic components are subject to inspection by Audi and, if found to be damaged due to improper installation or handling by an unauthorized repair facility, cannot be accepted for warranty reimbursement. Damage and malfunctions not covered by warranty
Audi is not responsible for damage or malfunctions resulting from:
- Misuse, negligence, alteration, modification, environmental damage, accident or fire;
- Improper repair of the vehicle, including improper repair of seals and/or gaskets; or damage due to improper installation or diagnosis;
- Use of the part or accessory in a vehicle used for a competitive purpose; or
- Failure to follow recommended maintenance intervals and requirements.
Wear items, maintenance and service items not covered by warranty
This warranty does not cover wear items such as clutch linings, brake pads, brake linings, windshield wiper blades, fuses, worn seat covers, and other trim and appearance items that wear as a result of normal use, lack of normal care, or deterioration. Except where specifically required as part of a repair covered by warranty, maintenance and service items are at the expense of the owner.
No other warranties made
This warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties of Audi, the manufacturer, and the selling dealer for new or factory-remanufactured parts and accessories. Any implied warranty, including any implied warranty of merchantability or warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, is limited to the duration of this written warranty.
Neither Audi of America, Inc. nor the manufacturer assumes or authorizes any person to assume on its behalf, any other obligation or liability.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
Consequential damage excluded
Audi is not responsible for incidental or consequential damage, including lost profits or earnings, or out-of-pocket expenses for substitute transportation or lodging. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

Audi privacy policy
It is our sincere hope at Audi of America ("Audi") that what is now a purely digital relationship will evolve into a more personal one. Your privacy is important to us. We may use your personal information in a number of ways, such as to send promotional emails to you, to enter you into contests and sweepstakes, to participate in our online communities, to conduct surveys and market research, to provide product materials and updates on new products and services, to respond to queries, and to provide order status and order tracking information to you. We may use your personal information for marketing research and marketing purposes, which may include sharing it with Audi authorized dealerships, for customer service purposes, with outside research companies, or with service providers that provide marketing, research, or other services for us, including service providers that may be located outside of the United States. If you choose to save information, such as a vehicle configuration, on the Audi Properties, we may contact you to follow up on your interest in our cars.
We may share your personal information (a) within the Audi family of companies, which includes parents, corporate affiliates, subsidiaries, business units and other companies that share common ownership, including Audi AG, (b) with other corporate partners, agencies and vendors working with Audi, and (c) with your vehicle’s satellite radio and/or wireless service provider, if applicable, in order to enable those service providers to contact you with important information about your vehicle’s satellite or wireless services and for their own marketing purposes. In addition, we may share your personal information to comply with law or legal requirements, enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements, or protect our rights, property, or safety of our users, or others. We do not share your personal information with unaffiliated third parties for their marketing purposes, unless you consent to such sharing.
Personal information received from Audi authorized dealerships may, in some cases, be used and shared in these ways.
If we or some or all of our assets are acquired by another company, including through a sale in connection with bankruptcy, that company will possess the information collected by us, and it will assume the rights and obligations regarding your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
We may share non-personal and aggregate information with our advertising agencies and other third-party affiliates to customize the design of the Audi Properties.
Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers have incorporated Do Not Track (DNT) preferences. Most of these features, when turned on, send a signal to the website you are visiting that you do not wish the collection and use of data regarding your online searching and browsing activities. As there is not yet a common understanding on how to interpret the DNT signal, we currently do not respond to DNT signals on our site.
Online Advertising
To provide you with a more relevant and interesting experience, Audi may work with third party companies to display ads or customize the content of the Audi Properties. These companies may use cookies (a small text file), pixels, tags, or similar technologies that are placed in browsers to gather information about your visits to an Audi Property, as well as your visits elsewhere on the Internet. These companies use this information to provide you with more relevant advertising known as interest-based advertising. Some of these companies may be participants in the Digital Advertising Alliance ("DAA"). The DAA offers a choice mechanism with respect to certain types of data collection and use. Audi does not knowingly collect personal information from visitors under the age of 13. The Audi Properties are general audience websites or digital properties directed at general audiences. The Audi Properties may contain links to other websites, including social networks, advertisers, individual dealer’s websites, and websites belonging to other third parties. Some of these sites may share a similar "look and feel" to the Audi Properties.
